How to use Google Translate without Internet

The translator of Google is the ultimate translation service on the Internet. Millions of users use it daily to translate from one language to another, in order to understand and communicate with other people. It is also a useful tool for when traveling abroad. But if during your travels in other countries you don’t want to spend a lot of money on roaming costs, you can download the dictionaries you need to use them offline. In other words, if you download the languages ??you require, you can use Google Translate without Internet.

Downloading a dictionary for a specific language is easy to do with the Google Translate mobile app. There are currently 59 languages ??available for offline use. Next I will show you how you can do to get to use the offline translator.

Download languages ??and use Google Translate without Internet

Open the Google Translate app and tap on the language shown at the top of the app.

This will open a page with all the languages ??available to translate with the application. Any language that is allowed to download for offline use will have a download icon next to it.

Tap the download icon to save the dictionary for offline use. Google Translate will show you how much space the download will take up on your phone. Each language should not be larger than 45 MB. Press the Download button  .

Any language you download to use offline will have a check mark next to it.

Another way to install languages ??to use Google Translate without Internet is by pressing  Menu  (hamburger icon)>  Offline translations. You will see a complete list of languages ??that you can download.

How to remove downloaded languages

If you have returned from your trip abroad and you no longer need a language that you downloaded, or you need to recover space on your phone, open the Google Translate app and return to the list of languages.

Press the check mark next to the language you want to remove. A dialog box will open asking you if you want to delete the download. Press  Delete.

Another way to remove it is by going to the Settings menu  (Settings on Android)>  Offline translation and clicking on the trash next to the language you want to remove.

Free translator without Internet

Google Translate is considered by many to be the best translation service on the Internet, and it is also free. There is no doubt how valuable this service turns out to be for many people on a day-to-day basis. And having the ability to use Google Translate without the Internet is a great added value; especially when we are visiting another country where a language other than ours is spoken. In these circumstances, the service can become our great ally.
