How to hide or delete a post on Facebook

Everything you post to your news feed or bio is visible on your profile page. It doesn’t matter if you posted it yesterday or 10 years ago, here we will see how to delete a Facebook post. And in case you don’t want to delete it, you can also hide it from the public.

Delete a Facebook post

# 1. Enter Facebook in the browser or in the application on your mobile device.

# 2. Find the post you want to delete. You will surely have to go to your profile to find it.

# 3. Select the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the post and choose Delete Post from the menu that appears. Alternatively, you can choose to Hide in bio, if you just want others to not see it.

# 4. A confirmation window will appear, choose Delete.

That way the publication will be deleted and you will no longer be able to recover it.

You can also use the same 3-point menu to delete or hide comments that you make on other people’s posts. Also the comments that others make to your posts.

How to hide your posts from some people

If you want to make someone not see your posts on Facebook, without deleting it, it is also an option. For example, if you post something and you want some friends not to see it, you can configure or customize the privacy of the post.

# 1. Find the Faebook post that you want to hide from some people.

# 2. Select the 3 points of the publication and choose Edit recipients.

# 3. There are several options, but if it is only one or a couple of people, you can choose the option Friends except…

# 4. Then you mark the friends that you don’t want to see your post.

# 5. When you’re done, choose Save Changes.

That way you will have changed the visibility options of your post, which will be hidden from the people you have chosen.

Just as you can change the visibility of the publications that you have made previously, in the same way you can do it with those that you publish from now on.

If you want, you can also delete all your Facebook posts with little effort, as shown in this previous post.
